Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme

The Challenge:

To create a brand identity for US organisation Forest Trends’ Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme (BBOP) and produce the subsequent global suite of publications.

The Diagnosis:

BBOP envisages a future in which biodiversity offsets achieve no net loss and preferably a net gain of biodiversity relative to development (business) impacts. The need was to firstly create a global brand that encompassed their vision. And secondly, a suite of materials that could be rolled out across many different countries.

The Creative Solution:

We likened BBOP’s vision to the concept of Yin and Yang, which describes how seemingly opposite forces are interconnected and give rise to each other in turn. This comparison gave birth to the brand identity. In relation to our second diagnosis, we created adaptable (allowing them to be country specific) toolkits which contained printed and electronic materials.

The Results:

The president of Forest Trends was extremely happy with both the brand we created for the BBOP and the subsequent printed and electronic communications we produced.

My staff was delighted with the work produced by Rima, from the quality of the initial design work, the formatting of documents, which required precision and attention to detail, to the oversight of subcontractors producing the printed publication and CD-ROM. I highly recommend them as a vendor” (President, Forest Trends).
